Title
Payroll Administrator
Description Administration of the company's time and attendance and payroll systems.
 

Timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client service,
including recordkeeping and reporting.
 

Provides accounting and project management support to Finance.
Requirements
  • 2 Year Technical Degree with a concentration in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 ? 5 years of experience administering and processing payroll, maintaining payroll records and reports
  • Previous experience working with SAP ? General Ledger and QuickBooks is a MUST
  • Previous experience supporting finance and accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting
  • Experience working with time and attendance, payroll and HRMS systems.
  • Knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles
  • Intermediate application of MS Office (Excel, Access) and QuickBooks
  • Basic project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to effectively maintain composure while working under stress and tight time-lines.
  • Available after hours and weekends (if needed)
  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
  • Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.

Tasks
  • First point of contact for employees for time and attendance and payroll
  • Process weekly hourly payroll using AS400 (including administering payroll shortages and vacation)
  • Administer transactions (W4s, wage attachments and deductions) in GEMS
  • Cash Management (administer petty cash, works account and check distribution) using QuickBooks.
  • Accounting (journal entries and accounting reconciliations) in SAP
  • Time and Attendance, Payroll and Human Resource Management Systems Works closely with Human Resources and assists with HRMS implementation, testing, maintenance, and security. Research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities, and liaison with service providers. Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity. Prepare and maintain accurate records. Document workflow and work procedures.
  • Provide accounting support to Finance personnel. Accounts Receivable. Accounts Payable. Accounting and reporting.
  • Supervision Works under the direct supervision of the Plant Controller. This position does not supervise other personnel.
